A Few Words
About Me
Focus Your Time and Efforts on Running Your Business and Leave the Bookkeeping to Me
Who am I? There is a lot that makes up who I am – but varied experience is the major thing people see when they get to know me. I have an undergrad degree in Photojournalism, a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, and a Master’s degree in Library Science. I am a lover of numbers and have learned and excelled at bookkeeping over the last 12 years. I am an avid handbell musician and have played with some top-notch Community Groups. I love organizing (ask me about this), reading, nature, photography, quiet walks, decorating, music, family and friends, and did I say organizing?
I have 12 solid years of experience as a bookkeeper for both small and large businesses in manufacturing, construction, retail, import/export, non-profits, and education. My bookkeeping background began as a bookkeeper in an Accounting Services firm where I handled 25 different businesses working on their books, handling payroll, filing payroll and sales taxes monthly, quarterly, and annually, processing 1099s, and interacting with the owners and their staff regularly. At year-end, I also completed tax returns for all of my sole proprietor clients. I thrived in that position and knew I wanted to develop my own bookkeeping firm so that I could better serve my clients and help them learn how to understand their financials to better grow the business. I am a firm believer that a bookkeeper should IMPROVE the life of their clients, and that is exactly what I strive to do every day.
I’ve cleaned up many, many business books that were done with the best of intentions but with a tremendous lack of skills. Having your books a mess only harms your bottom line – your profit. It is my goal to serve you, my client, in the most professional way as a trusted advisor so that, with my help, you can grow your business and make time for your family and your life. It is all about that work-life balance. Let’s work together to get you ahead of your competition and enjoying mostly free weekends.
